Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

Now through January 4, the Streets of America at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios comes to life with music and lights as part of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. The festivities begin after the sun goes down around 6:00 p.m., as crowds gather to wonder in amazement at the millions of twinkling Christmas lights that have been a tradition since 1995.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights started modestly in Arkansas as a single home's annual Christmas display. Every year, Jennings Osborne and his family set up an elaborate collection of holiday lights until the assortment became large enough that Walt Disney World Resort offered to become the new permanent home for their holiday display. Now sponsored by Sylvania, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights also includes flurries of snow (on the warm Florida breeze) plus plenty of excitement as Disney visitors enjoy the multicolored lights synchronized to the tune of their favorite Christmas carols.
