Tale of Two Cities History Club Presentation

Join the local History Club in the Ancient City to share in stories about our local history. Co-Sponsored by the Saint Augustine Historical Society, presentations include a talk by Ray Osborne about local Maritime history and his story of the presidential visit of Grover Cleveland in 1888; a talk by Jay Humphreys about U-Boat activity off of Florida’s eastern seaboard and noted author Karen Harvey will give a talk entitled “The changing perceptions of a history in a tourist town”. Other topics of discussion include but not limited to; history of Port Canaveral, 1700’s, the Gilded Age, Spanish Military history and Henry Flagler’s historic hotels. The presentations take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Page Edwards Gallery of St Augustine Historical Society, 271 Charlotte Street in St Augustine. For more information call 904.824.2872
