St. Johns County Fair Returns

ST. AUGUSTINE, (Nov. 7) – One of Florida’s oldest counties will celebrate its rich agricultural heritage when the St. Johns County Fair returns to the fairgrounds November 14-19. As always, a dazzling midway filled with great rides, food and entertainment will add to the excitement of the livestock judging and exhibits.

The fair with its great carnival midway opens at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14 with entertainment provided by the Adam D. Tucker Band at 6 p.m. with encore performances at the same time on Wednesday and Thursday. Basic Rock Outfit will provide the entertainment at 5 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Highway 101 will perform in concert on Friday at 8 p.m.

Sure to thrill horse lovers, the Black Arabian Liberty Show and Caesar the miniature trick horse will entertain at 5 p.m. on Thursday and again at noon on Sunday.

On Saturday, November 18, the fair opens at 10 a.m. and the day’s events include the 4H goat show, the Southwood Elementary Honor Chorus, the Glastara Irish Dancers at 1 p.m., singer/songwriter Caitlin Eadie at 3 p.m.; and the Pedro Menendez High School band and Remax 100 hot air balloon rides at 4 p.m.. The fair’s headliners, Deep South take the stage at 8 p.m.

Sunday’s events include the 4H dog show at 11 a.m.; an appearance by Miss St. Augustine at 1 p.m.; the bull riding rodeo at 2 p.m.; along with entertainment by Paper Cutt at 3 p.m. and Christian alternative band Opportunity Knox at 7 p.m.

A $15 ticket provides unlimited rides along the carnival midway on Tuesday through Friday and on Sunday. On Saturday, fifteen hours of carnival rides can be enjoyed for only $20. Each day, helicopter rides will be available for $10 per person.

St. Johns County Fairgrounds are located on SR 207 in Elkton, just seven miles west of I-95’s exit 311. Fair hours are 5-11 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 4 p.m. – 1 a.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. – 1 a.m. on Saturday; and noon – 9 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $7 adults and $4 for students and seniors 65 and over. Children under six are admitted free.
