The Festival of Orchestras Welcomes the National Orchestra of Wales to Orlando

Orlando, FL - The world-renowned National Orchestra of Wales will bevisiting the Orlando area on Sunday, January 21, 2007 and will perform at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center at 3 pm. Under the artistic direction of Thierry Fischer with Joan Kwuon on violin, the National Orchestra of Wales will perform Benjamin Britten, Four SeaInterludes from Peter Grimes, Max Bruch, Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor,Op. 26, and Dmitri Shostakovich, Symphony No. 10 in minor, Op. 93. The National Orchestra of Wales continues to enjoy its special dual role as a national and a broadcasting orchestra, recognized not only for the qualityof its performances but also for its contribution to local Welsh communities. The Festival of Orchestras brings world-class symphony performances to Central Florida to enrich the community's international music culture forresidents and visitors alike.
