Guests are asked to arrive about an hour before show time, and are seated 15 minutes before the show begins. Everyone in the audience is assigned a seating area and a knight whom they will root for during the evening’s competitions. In addition to jousting and sword fights, there are equestrian demonstrations and other forms of pageantry to keep the crowd entertained as the food keeps coming.
The traditional bill of fare is tomato bisque soup, garlic bread, half of a roasted chicken, potato, spare rib, and a pastry. In keeping with the Medieval Times theme, there are no utensils available—although guests do have a choice of Pepsi or Diet Pepsi (which is included with the meal) or they can order a drink from the bar from one of the “serving wenches.” And like many dining theatres and attractions in Orlando, there will be ample opportunities to purchase photographs to commemorate your party’s experience at Medieval Times.
