By the time of her death at the age of 36 in 1997, Princess Diana had already achieved worldwide fame for her marriage to Prince Charles, as the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry, her fashion sense and dedication to various charitable causes.
According to the Walt Disney World Web site, the following items are part of a collection that is a first for many American audiences:
- A Royal Doulton figurine of Diana in her wedding dress that was crafted in 1981 at the time of the royal wedding. The doll wears an exact replica of Diana's famous wedding dress.
- The black velvet V-neck designed by Bruce Oldfield and worn by Diana for her official royal portrait in 1985.
- The wedding breakfast booklet with guest names from the quadrangle at Buckingham Palace and Clarence House.
- A three-foot-tall doll of Diana as a young girl released by the Great American Doll Company in 1998.
- Five rarely seen royal dresses worn by Princess Diana.
Tickets are available for “Diana - The People's Princess” at the exhibit for $14.50 for Guests ages 10 and above and $5 for children ages 3 to 9. Hours of operation are every day from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
