Orlando Fringe Festival May 15 – 26, 2008

For a city that is best known for Disney entertainment, Orlando’s edgier art scene has been coming into its own for more than a decade. Now in its 16th year, the annual Orlando Fringe Festival returns to Loch Haven Park at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater (812 E. Rollins St.) May 15 – 26.

As the longest running fringe festival in the country, the Orlando Fringe Festival is based on the concept of offering 100% unjuried, 100% uncensored, 100% accessible theatre, music, dance, art and madness to all types and ages where 100% of the box office ticket sales go directly back to the artists within The Fringe.

Some performances are for mature audiences only, but Kids Fringe activities and shows are plentiful at The Orlando REP and in Loch Haven Park. The event will also have food booths and free parking. A full schedule of performances and exhibits is available at www.orlandofringe.org.
