Char Dham Yatra: A Great Hindu Pilgrim Tour

Char Dham means four abodes or seats in literary language and it is also called dev Bhumi in Hindu mythology. Some of our devotee described it as Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri,Gangotri. It can be called Chhota char Dham these are very famous pilgrimage in Hindu mythology.

These Char Dham pilgrimages are located in the Garhwal Himalayas, where Adi Shankaracharya attained freedom from embodiment.

This tour begins from Sri Yamunotri Dham. It is very religious Dham It is called the seat of goddess Yamuna. Keep enjoying the activity of this tour while watching different things around the Yamuna River. Your next stop will be Gangotri.

It is from here that the Ganga River originates. It is also the seat of Hindu goddess Ganga. You will love the evening Aarti ceremony that is held in this temple because it is performed beside the flowing river. You may opt to stay in the guesthouses and restaurants of this region if you want to take rest or relax.

The third spot of char Dham Yatra is Kedarnath. This place is where Hindu god Shiva is believed to reside. Apart from this, Sri Kedarnath Dham is also believed to be the place of Shankaracharya’s shrine, hence it is very sacred. You will find that the main temple looks completely beautiful though it is built up with simple stone structures. The best scene of Kedarnath is that it is surrounded by breath taking Himalayan snow capped peaks.

The last stoppage is Badrinath which is the seat of the Hindu god Vishnu. The wall of this temple has bright and beautiful paintings of Buddhist Ghompas.
