A Very Disney Christmas

No matter which Walt Disney World theme park you visit during the holiday season, you can enjoy the spirit of Christmas Disney style. From the resorts to Downtown Disney, tinsel and lights will be on display, with some very special events at each of four theme parks:

Magic Kingdom: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is an annual after hours event, and it's the only Disney World Christmas event that requires a separate ticket than the theme park admission. Guests can enjoy cookies and hot cocoa, photo opportunities with Disney Characters, live entertainment and a special Christmas parade on select nights in December.

Epcot: Celebrity guests tell the story of the very first Christmas as part of the candlelight processional in the America Gardens theater, which is part of the beautifully decorated World Showcase. Although there is no extra charge to see the performance, guests who purchase the candlelight processional dinner package have guaranteed seating for the performances.

Disney's Hollywood Studios: Here is Disney Christmas treat that everyone can enjoy at no extra cost. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights features millions of twinkling lights in a traditional city street setting, with a little bit of manufactured snow thrown in to make the evening even more festive.

Disney's Animal Kingdom: Since Animal Kingdom does not have nighttime hours, guests can enjoy the spirit of the season before the sun goes down. At the entranceway is an animal-themed Christmas tree, and the day concludes with a parade (pictured) featuring colorful African art and Disney characters.

There's always something to see at Walt Disney World, especially during the Christmas season, which is why the crowds are packed tight, but the decor is merry and bright.
