Where to find the Disney Princesses at Walt Disney World

Ask any four-year-old girl to rattle off the names of the Disney Princesses, and she will tell you. The Disney World gift shops primarily focus on Cinderella, Belle (from Beauty and the Beast), Snow White, Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and Sleeping Beauty's Aurora. Occasionally Mulan and Pocahontas are also included in the Disney pantheon of princesses.

Magic Kingdom offers the most princess sightings; the parade that goes down Main Street features Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel and Belle in addition to other beloved Disney characters. The signature Cinderella castle is one location where kids can get up close and personal with Cinderella as part of a character dining experience. Ariel also has a photo op location in the Fantasyland area of the park.

Elsewhere at Walt Disney World, Ariel has her own live show (The Voyage of the Little Mermaid) at Disney's Hollywood Studio, which also has performances of Beauty and the Beast. Disney's Hollywood Studios Fantasmic performance features Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and Ariel as part of their nighttime spectacular light and sound presentation.

Animal Kingdom is better known for furry friends, but Pocahontas can be spotted for photo opportunities here. The Akershus restaurant in the Norway pavilion of Epcot's world showcase also offers character dining with the Disney princesses. Keep in mind that the characters who appear in the restaurants and photo op areas might change on a daily basis, but rest assured somewhere at Walt Disney World there will be princesses. This fall Disney's first African-American princess, Tiana, will likely join the parade of Disney princesses.
