Gaylord Palms Opens Clearwater Cove Water Playground

Gaylord Palms Opens Clearwater Cove Water Playground
Whether you are experiencing the peak heat of the day or enjoying one of Florida’s sultry summer nights, lounging by the pool at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL just got even more family friendly with the opening of the new Clearwater Cove water activities playground . The facility features a collection of oversized whimsical sea creatures that surround the 120,000-gallon zero-entry family pool.

Clearwater Cove is more than just another resort swimming pool, and Gaylord Palms guests will find excitement at several “fun zones” surrounding the pool deck:
· Octopus Waterslide: Guests climb through the tentacles of a towering octopus to reach the pool’s water slide, which lands in the sparkling pool.
· Wacky Waterspouts: A team of giant loggerhead turtles play among a dozen interactive pop-jet fountains that provide a constant splash zone on the soft-play surface.
· Kiddie Cay: A soft-play area for tots, featuring a seashell slide, a “misting” starfish, and a friendly oversized crab that squirts his playmates.
· Terrapin Reef: An energizing 12-foot waterfall, where families can play among a reef and its inhabitants, including oversized manta rays. A friendly sea turtle fills with water, which he randomly dumps on passersby. In addition, interactive seahorse “water guns” are hidden among the reef.
· The Dunes: A sandy play area for children.

The new “fun zones” of Clearwater Cove at Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center were designed with all ages in mind, and include soft-play surfaces. Many of the rocks and other static props are also made from the same soft-play material. Special effects, such as fiber optics and simulated fog, provide new experiences at nightfall.
