The 2006 FUNAI Classic at WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort is the longest running PGA TOUR event in Central Florida. The inaugural event took place in the fall of 1971, the same year the Disney Resort and Magic Kingdom opened to guests.The FUNAI Classic at WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort has crowned 12 Champions who have also won Majors, including Mark O'Meara, Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh. The 2006 FUNAI Classic at WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort will be no exception as the finest players on the PGA TOUR battle for their share of the $4 million purse.
WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort and the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce continue their relationship as part of the ticket sales effort for the 2006 FUNAI Classic at WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort. For its participation in the 2006 FUNAI Classic at WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort, the Chamber will receive all gereral admission ticket proceeds generated from the PGA TOUR event.
In response, the Chamber has formed the all-exclusive "Chamber Club" to assist in promoting community awareness and participation in one of Orlando's premier events - the 2006 FUNAI Classic at WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort. Orlando Golf
