Last weekend for Epcot International Flower and Garden Show

This weekend marks the last few days of the 2010 Epcot International Flower and Garden Show, which wraps up (until next year) on Sunday, May 16. Chubby Checker is scheduled to perform as part of the Flower Power Concert Series May 14 – 16 with performances at 5:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.

Gardening presentations and Disney character inspired topiaries have always been highlights of the annual show. In the Kids areas, children can climb unique play structures with topiaries featuring some of their favorite characters from Fantasia and Pixie Hollow. Other special attractions for the 2010 Epcot International Flower and Garden Show include the Princess and the Frog Wedding Bayou and the Fawn’s Butterfly House.

New for this year, there will also be a special Garden Town Breakfast on Sunday, May 16 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The cost is $60 per person plus tax; gratuity is included and theme park admission is required. Guests will enjoy a welcome breakfast prepared by Epcot’s chefs that will include a special selection of fresh ingredients from the Land Pavilion while having the opportunity to learn some garden and culinary techniques from professional horticulturists and chefs. Call 407-WDW-Fest for reservations.
