Yak and Yeti Restaurant at Animal Kingdom

Just a short walk from the Expedition Everest roller coaster at Disney's Animal Kingdom, the Yak and Yeti Restaurant serves up Asian cuisine that is suitable for patrons who are on the go or wish to enjoy a sit-down meal.

The two-story restaurant features traditional dishes such as vegetable lo mein, pork egg rolls and pot stickers, sweet and sour chicken or pork, stir fried beef and broccoli and wonton soup. Other house specialties include baby back ribs, crispy mahi mahi, duck with Anandapur glaze, and maple tamarind chicken. Children 9 and under can choose from egg rolls, lo mein, chicken bites, or a mini burger.

Even though some of the dishes are similar to what one would expect in a Chinese restaurant, the Yak and Yeti restaurant incorporates the decor and flavors of a wide variety of Asian countries, especially those that border the Himalayan mountain range. Movie posters from classic Bollywood films adorn the walls, and the dishes represent a combination of Chinese, Indian, and Nepalese cuisine, similar to the kinds of foods that a Himalayan adventurer might find before tackling the real Mt. Everest.

In addition to full service indoor dining, the Yak and Yeti Restaurant also includes a walk-up counter service with a smaller menu selection. The Yak and Yeti gift shop sells a variety of items, from silk purses to saris to teapots. For reservations, call 407-WDW-DINE.
