Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey in Orlando

Get ready to giggle, Central Florida: on December 8 and 10, clowns from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® will make special appearances in the region to entertain and interact with the public. The Ambassadors of Laughter will ignite attendees’ funny bones with lighthearted antics that offer a sneak preview of DRAGONS, the all-new 142nd Edition of The Greatest Show On Earth® playing the Amway Center this January.

On Thursday, December 8, clowns will blend the magic of the circus with the importance of reading during Reading with Ringling Day, special presentations at three libraries in Orange and Seminole counties (see accompanying schedule of appearance times and locations). After a lively rendition of a circus-themed book, they’ll engage the audience with juggling, plate spinning and other silly and dynamic demonstrations previewing The Greatest Show on Earth®. The clowns will give away stickers and clown noses (while supplies last). The library events are free and everyone is invited.

The silliness continues on Saturday, December 10 at 1 and 3 p.m. when the clowns perform “Science of the Circus” at the Orlando Science Center (OSC). With antics including balancing on a high wire the way acrobats do in the circus, the clowning team makes learning science fun and comical. The performance is included with paid admission to OSC, which is $17 for adults, $12 for kids (ages 3-11), and free for Science Center members. For more information, call 407-514-2000 or go to www.osc.org. OSC is located at 777 East Princeton Street, Orlando, FL 32803.

DRAGONS is a never-before-seen blend of renowned spiritual and real life legends and is coming January 12-16 to the Amway Center in Orlando. For tickets and more information, visit www.ringling.com
