Orlando entertainment: La Nouba

One of the few cities in the US with its own permanent Cirque du Soleil company, Orlando has an open ended engagement for performances of the unique circus-like experience known as La Nouba. Performances of La Nouba are regularly scheduled at Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney, and tickets are available through the Cirque du Soleil website. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance.

La Nouba is one of several shows created by the Montreal-based Cirque du Soleil. According to the Cirque du Soleil website, “The show name La Nouba originates from the French phrase “faire la nouba,” which means to party, to live it up. It is a world where dreams and reality intertwine as the urban and circus worlds meet on stage.” The show blends acrobatics, dazzling choreography, whimsical characters and live music, all of which are quite fitting at the Happiest Place on Earth.
