Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom theme park is putting on the finishing touches on the Liberty Square Riverboat, an authentic three-tiered paddlewheel steamship that circles the Magic Kingdom lagoon with a scenic half-mile tour of Frontierland, Liberty Square and Tom Sawyer island. In preparation for the upcoming animated film, The Princess and the Frog, the Liberty Square Riverboat is celebrating New Orleans style.You don’t have to ride the riverboat to appreciate the colorful Mardi Gras inspired costumes and traditional Dixieland jazz that are a part of this musical celebration. With The Princess and the Frog premiering in theaters everywhere on December 11, there are sure to be more Princess Tiana sightings at the Magic Kingdom, as well as other areas of Walt Disney World.
